presentations for Saturday
Steven, Brian and Tom- the sub that hit the fishing boat
Sam H, Peter, Alex - Titanic
FW: No signatures= No liberty
To the plebes who did finish signature sheets, i.e. Pebbles, good job,
welcome to the company. I expect this to be the beginning of a long line of
success for you three. I also expect you to understand that because you did
your job, you don't get anything special; no one gets rewarded for doing
their job. What you do get is the satisfaction of knowing that you did it
right the first time, on time and the satisfaction of knowing that the rest
of this email does not apply to you. Enjoy your liberty on Saturday.
To the rest of you, I have a lesson to teach you. An apology for not
getting your job done is not good enough here or in the fleet. You all have
no excuse for not completing the task. In addition, things only get worse
if you do not finish tasks the first time, on time, all the time. To hammer
this point home, you will prepare and present to me an eight ('08) minute
presentation on a case study in which a person in a leadership position did
something wrong or failed to do something right or on time and the
ramifications of this mistake. I expect this to be a professional
presentation. You may work in groups of two or three and you may use any
medium you wish, including but not limited to power point or posters, and
you must document all sources. These presentations will take place Saturday
after SMT. Your liberty will not commence until you have finished this
presentation to my satisfaction. I will not sit through the same case study
twice. If you fail to meet these requirements, you will not have any
liberty this weekend.
I chose to send this message at this time on purpose. This is not
supposed to be easy. As always, come see me if you have any questions or
special circumstances which may inhibit you from completing this task and I
will decide if they are valid.
